About Megan Alyse

Megan Alyse grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She works in higher education which has always been a passion of hers. Although, she hopes to one day work for UDOT coming up with clever traffic signs for commuters. No, really.

She received her BA in English at Weber State University where she served as Editor and Chief for the undergraduate literary journal, Metaphor. While a student, she won various writing contests, had her poetry published, performed her poetry in collaboration with other departments, and presented her work at the National Undergraduate Literature Conference.

These days, she tends to dedicate all her creative energy (and spare time) to writing. Her poetry and prose have appeared in publications such as HST, Angel City Review, Collision Literary Review, The Rectangle, and Sink Hollow.

Megan is pursuing an MFA in Poetry at Warren Wilson College. She lives with her daughters, partner, and many cats in Ogden, UT.
